OUR STORY

In true Tipsy fashion, Tipsy Bee was conceived between two friends and a bottle of wine back in 2018. 

What started as a dream quickly became an inside joke—one day, some day, a guy with a bar would convince the girl with a bakery to dive headfirst into the world of hospitality.

Fast forward to 2021. After many twists of fate, those two friends fell in love and, in the midst of a global pandemic, decided to finally bring Tipsy Bee to life. He brought over two decades of experience in the service industry and a passion for cocktail experimentation (along with a questionable sense of humor for cocktail names). I brought the words—the wit, the warmth, and the instinct for building a brand and design that felt bold, playful, and unmistakably ours.

Together, we imagined a space where bold spirits met bold storytelling, where every label had a wink and every sip told a story. 

Tipsy Bee became our creative playground—part bar, part kitchen, part studio, all heart.

Over the years, Tipsy Bee has grown from a tiny crew of 5 to a swarm of nearly 40. We've grown both in number and size. Despite that, we have stayed true to what we love and stand for as a brand and a company along side so many in our amazing crew that do the same.

In February 2025, the idea of The Hive was born—our newest venture. We poured our energy into creating a space that reflects everything we love about Bee—thoughtful design, impeccable service, and a sense of fun that is unique to our personalities. Each apartment of our Hive is a sunlit sanctuary, perched to capture the breeze, the light, and the rhythm of the coast.

Over the years, we’ve learned that while we adore crafting cocktails, curating menus, and obsessing over every design detail, what we truly love is hospitality. The kind that feels personal, familiar and of course, a little bit cheeky – the kind that leaves your smile lingering more than usual.
Just like Bee, The Hive is a passion project. Watching it come to life—and hopefully grow with us over the years—has been and will continue to be pure joy. There’s not a day that goes by that we aren’t grateful for this wildly fulfilling (and occasionally chaotic) world we get to call our own.
